A Team vs. Start Brno
Game Report:
Underdogs Battle Hard, But Start B's Dominance Prevails

The match between Start B and MCV saw an intense and competitive battle, with Start B coming out on top with a 3-1 victory. With players like topscorer Yahya still missing, he is showing his home country to his newborn daughter, it was on other players to make an impact, with Theo, our new signing from France, debuting on the wing.
At the start of the game, there was early controversy when Start B appealed for two penalties—one for a foul and another for a handball. After a brief discussion between the referee and the linesman, both appeals were dismissed, much to the frustration of Start B.
In the 33rd minute, Jacob made a precise pass over the defense, sending the ball into Ian's path. Ian took a half-volley shot that hit the post, but Artin was quick to react to the rebound, scoring to put MCV ahead.
Going into halftime, it felt like MCV had the momentum, and it seemed like they were in control of the match, matching the opposition team on all positions. Especially Nikitas and Theo managed to neutralize their dangerous attackers, making open play chances a rare occurance. However, the second half brought a change in fortune. In the 50th minute, Start B equalized from a corner, and just two minutes later, they scored again from another corner, taking a 2-1 lead. From that point on, MCV was forced to chase the game.
In the 58th minute, Jacob again played a perfect ball over the top, leaving Ian one-on-one with the goalkeeper. Ian attempted a half-volley, but unfortunately, he missed the chance to equalize.
On the other side, Alex, our goalkeeper kept us in the game with a huge save 10 minutes later.
As the game approached its final stages, Artin had a free kick opportunity that was saved by Start B's goalkeeper, keeping the score at 2-1. In the dying moments of the match, Start B sealed their victory with a third goal in the 90th minute, ending the game 3-1 in their favor.

Final score: Start B 3-1 MCV

First half we were excellent, competing with Start all over the pitch and deserved our half time lead for the fight we showed. We let ourselves down after half time, conceding twice from corners and finally conceded a 3rd, from a counter attack, as we continued to push for an equaliser. Not the start to the Spring season we wanted, but plenty of positives to take into the next match.
